Abstract

Rhynchonella sardanyolae from Upper Campanian of St. Julia de Cerdanyola (Sheet 255, Pobla de Lillet, prov. Barcelona, Spain) must be now called as Viarhynchia n. gen. cerdanyolae (BATALEI1~9, 47). So a new rhynchonelloid genus is described.

The environment in which V . cerdanyolae lived, was a very shallow water one.
