Abstract

This article tries to examine the way in which two recent productions of documentary cinema configure audiovisual archives based on the testimonies and the documents of the children of militants that experienced the collectivized life in Cuba, as it is narrated in La guardería (Virginia Croatto, 2016), regarding the children of the Montoneros militants who returned to Argentina under the so-called “Counter-offensive”, and El edificio de los chilenos (Macarena Aguiló, 2010), regarding the children of the MIR when they returned to Chile in “Operation Return” at the end of the seventies.

Natalia Taccetta es doctora en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) y doctora en Filosofía por la Universidad de París 8, magister en Sociología de la Cultura y Análisis Cultural por el Instituto de Altos Estudios Sociales de la Universidad de San Martín, y profesora y licenciada en Filosofía por la UBA. Es docente e investigadora en la UBA y en la Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA). Trabaja especialmente temas de filosofía de la historia y estética. Ha publicado el libro Agamben y lo político (Prometeo Libros, 2011) e Historia, modernidad y cine: una aproximación desde la perspectiva de Walter Benjamin (Prometeo Libros, 2016).
