Abstract

In this paper, we study the influence it has had the call liberal Austrian School or School of Vienna European integration after the Second World War. To do this, analyze two key moments of the process. First, will discuss the creation of the first organizations of European integration, the weight that ideology had its configuration and F. A Hayek formulated proposal for postwar Europe: United Federation interstate. Second, we will study the political and academic reaction to liberal Austrian School against one of the events that changed the nature of European integration: the European currency crises of the seventies and eighties.
