Las discordancias sintetónicas del Alto Cardener (Prepirineo catalán), ensayode interpretación evolutiva

Abstract
The age of the three syntectonic unconformities belon- ging to Upper Eocene-Middle Oligocene is discussed. We describe the structural characteristics of the conglomerates in the Catalonian South Pyrenees, specially the relationships b:t~veeii tectonics and sedimentation and the lateral rela- tionships between conformity, progressive unconformity (or cumulative wedging out) and angular unconformity. A new model of development is proposed to explain offlap-onlap mechanism of each folding phase and the progressive and angular unconformities formation. The older unconformities are deformed.
