La formación volcànica estefaniense Erill Castell (Pirineo de Lérida)

Abstract

The Eriii Castell volcanic Formation is mainly built up by rhyodacitic pyroclastic tuffs with some epiclastic volcanic deposits and andesitic lavas. This Formation is included within the Pyrenean stefanopermic volcanic strip relatea with late-hercynian faults. Volcanic materiais come from a calc-akaline magmatism of orogenic character in correspondence with an orogenic zone in an advanced stage of it s development.
