Microfauna del Plioceno de "La Plaça de les Bruixes" (Molins de Rei, Barcelona)

Abstract

The Foraminifera or the Pliocene outcrop of the "La Plaça de les Bruixes" (Barcelona) is studied in this paper. The microfauna is maintained with little variation along the stratigraphic section, and shows the existence of similar biotopes regarding other fossil deposits of the same region. Also, the distribution of the planctonic forms indicate a Lower Pliocene age.
