Study of depression in the bronchial asthma through the triple system of response

In this study, the relationship between depression and bronchial asthma is studied and explained throughout the triple system of response. In order to do this, Tridimensional Questionnaire for Depression C.T.D. (Jiménez, Miguel- Tobal y Cano-Vindel,1996), has been used. Questionnaire which not only offers a general measure of depression but it offers for the first time measures in
triple system of response (cognitive, physiological and motor). Through this instrument, highly significative differences between a group of asthmatic adults and a control group compared regarding age and sex have been found. According to our data asthmatics are more depressed than control group.
