Resum

This paper reviews the inain studies of pattems of Intemet use and questions the validity of the Intemet Addiction Disorder (IAD), given the serious methodological gaps in these studies. A theoretical model is presented that defends pseudoaddictive and temporal use, as proven in the use of videogames, and some suggestions drawn from research on parameters of normal use are given. Finally, the most recentjgures available about the Spanish population are presented
