Resum

According to Flament and Abric, a social representation is a cognitive structure that contains central and peripheral elements. The central core provides meaning and stabilizes the representation. Flament suggests that only practices can modify the representation. Our purpose is to show that a persuasive communication can provoke a change in a social representation as much as practices. The results suggest that the change is greater when contradicting the central element than when contradicting a peripheral element.
