Resum

The dificulty in assessing improvement in communication skills following a training programme is due to a range of aspects, such as the qualitative and quantitative nature of the variables chosen as parameters, the difference between tutored practice and systematic training, improvement in the target tasks versus improvement in more complex, related tasks (transfer of skills) and assessment of interactive communication. This study attempts to review how these aspects were dealt with in 43 earlier studies, and to analyse these dificulties from referential- ecological perspective on communication skills training. We shall attempt to provide suggestions to improve the methods and concepts, which may facilitate a more exact assessment of communication
