Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • We pray authors to check the accomplishment of the following standards. If not, manuscripts may be sent back to the author.
  • The article has not been published or submitted to any other journal before.
  • The file accomplishes all the formal requirements indicated on the "Author guidelines" section.
  • Authors checked the section "How to assure a blind review" and the manuscript meets all indications.

Author Guidelines

Formal requirements for manuscripts

The extension of the manuscripts must not exceed 8000 words in lenght including all elements of the text (abstract, tables, figures, references etc).

Originals articles will be admitted in both English and Spanish.

The review of the original articles is anonymous. Files containing the text of the manuscript will be sent separately without the identifying information upon authors' request. The first page should include the full title in both Spanish and English. The second page should include: (a) a srunning head title with no more than four words, (b) two abstracts (in both languages, in Spanish and English), with a maximum of 250 words, (c) a list of 4-5 keywords in the both languages. 

Identifying information must be sent in a separate file. This file should contain the full title in both Spanish and English, name and last name of the author(s), department, university, centre, institution or service where the work took place, email and full mailing address, and telephone number (unless the contrary is indicated, correspondance will be sent to the first author). Also, the file should indicate the authors ORCID.

Graphs and figures should be supplied in high quality so that their direct reproduction can be warranted and they must be included within the manuscript. Manuscripts should not contain more than ten illustrations (tables and figures).

Manuscripts should meet the requirements of the APA reference style of the American Psychological Association (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 2019, 7th edition). References must be included in a separate page following the conclusions and aknowledgements when included. All works cited must appear on the reference list and vice versa. Authors should cite in their manuscripts at least one or two recent references published in the Anuario de Psicologia journal.

Submitting your original manuscript

Manuscripts must be sent to Anuario de Psicología/The UB Journal of Psychology as Word files (using the ".doc" or ".docx" file extension), with the different elements of the work in separate files as indicated on the "Formal requirements for manuscripts" section. The editorial staff of Anuario de Psicología will notify the reception of the material as soon as it is registered, after confirming the sumbitted work meets all the formal requirements as previously indicated.

The Editorial Board of Anuario de Psicología/The UB Journal of Psychology will not assume responsibility for the views and opinions expressed by the authors.

Research described in the original articles must respect the ethical principles of the practice of psychology and the ethical standards generally accepted for the treatment of human and animal samples.
