Gender identity and affectivity in adolescence: relational asymmetries and symbolic violence
Abstract
This study examines the influence of cultural idealizations on the construction of subjectivity in teenagers. Despite the social changes in recent decades, cultural regulations concerning masculinity/femininity continue to justify (and the refore maintain) the asymmetries of power between the sexes – not explicitly, but through attitudes and assessments that foster violent conduct and attitudes towards women, especially in the area of affective relations.Downloads
