Abstract

The reflection on the concept of stress is becoming a main concern for mental health professionals. Psychosocial intevention in emergency situations is one of the most important topics for mental health workers. The present paper approaches some of the aspects relevant to intevention in emergency situations. We offer (a) un analysis of the emergency concept (b) un integra tive model for research and intewention and (c) a discussion
on the intewention possibilities through mobilisation of social support in emergency situations.
