Dimensiones de identidad social en jóvenes sordos
Keywords:
Social Identity, Minority Groups, Deafness, Multidimensional Scaling.Abstract
The article analyzes processes of social identity in young deaf people from a multidimensional perspective, using Tajfel and Turner's Social Categorization-Identity-Comparison Theory. Our hypothesis is that the fact of belonging to a differentiated social group, such as the deaf population, has a marked effect on social identity. In addition, the authors examine whether intragroup bias emerges insid a disabled population as a result of attempts to obtain a positive social identity.Downloads
