Abstract

The following article deals with analyzing the methodologies adopted and the issues analyzed by Italian historiography for the study of the European integration process. The latter is composed of a whole series of problems of definition and understanding that make the boundaries of investigation extremely wide. From manual reflections on the history of the EEC/EU to specific reconstructions such as, for example, those related to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) or the link between European identity and anti-fascism, passing through the study of the political and economic dimension expressed by the EEC/EU in the international context. What emerges is a broad historiographical framework, well prepared to further increase the fields of
study.
