Digital Online Assets To Enhance Study: A Living Legacy (DONATES ALL)
Keywords:
Dental Education, Open ResourcesAbstract
Well known King’s Dental Alumni have donated their slide collections for student use. An open digital archive of the donors’ resources is being created – a “Hall of Fame”. The DONATES ALL project aims to benefit students by establishing an open educational resource (OER). A rolling plan of digitisation, tagging and uploading of digitised resources, and video profiles of each donor has commenced. Innovative use of open source software as a database has been demonstrated. A social networking capability to share these resources with sustainability options is being undertaken.
