Focus and Scope

The Bulletin du Groupement International pour la Recherche Scientifique en Stomatologie et Odontologieis an online journal publishing original research articles, reviews and letters in the field of all sciences of dentistry and stomatology, such as:

anatomy, biochemistry, biomaterials, biophysics, biotechnology, chemistry, embryology, development, epidemiology, imagiology, histology and histopathology, microbiology, molecular biology, oral medicine and surgery, paleontology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology and virology.


Our goal is to provide the most complete and reliable source of high quality information on current developments in the field, making it available to GIRSO members and other researchers worldwide. In this sense, we believe that the journal will be an essential reading for scientists and researchers who wish to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Peer Review Process

All papers are firstly evaluated by the editor, which utilize the following qualitative criteria to decide about the manuscript's merit to start the peer-review process:

  • fulfillment of all norms,
  • clear relationship to the field of dentistry and stomatology, and
  • scientific value of the document.
After this screening, at least two independent referees from the editorail board will further evaluate the manuscript content in a “double blind” fashion. The period of time expected for this reviewer’s analysis should be no longer than 4 weeks.
