About the Journal

Convivium is an annual peer-reviewed journal that belongs to the Department of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona. The journal, that was founded in 1956, publishes articles and reviews mainly in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese; it is indexed in Web of Science (Arts & Humanities Citation Index, ESCI), The Philosopher’s Index (ProQuest), Scopus, SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), Latindex, iDialnet, CIRC, ÍnDICEs-CSIC, RESH, CARHUS Plus+, and MIAR.

We welcome proposals in the aforementioned formats and languages that are related to any of the many disciplines gathered in the vast, challenging and inspiring world of “Philosophy” We sincerely wish that our journal can encourage scholars from around the world to share their finest research, and foster the necessary exchange of ideas and points of view that our present world undoubtedly needs. All submissions must be sent through our website (see Submissions).

Proposals for articles are received for the whole year. Any proposal will be subject to a first preliminary review (deadline: four weeks) before starting the evaluation process by external peer reviewers (deadline: three months). The review proposals, the Hobbes Bulletin and the Murdoch Seminar are subject to internal peer review by the journal's Editorial Board.

Authors of articles and reviews retain their authorship rights over their writings, and may reproduce the content in any other medium, as long as they state that it was first published in Convivium. Unless otherwise indicated, all contributions to the journal are subject to the Creative Commons Licensing-NonCommercial-NoDerivs license, available at: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/
