Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Convivium publishes articles and reviews on any of the many disciplines gathered in the vast, challenging and inspiring world of «Philosophy». Notes and seminars on a specific subject may also be considered for publication.
  2. Accepted languages: Catalan, German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
  3. Articles and reviews, which must be original and unpublished, should be submitted through the website https://revistes.ub.edu/index.php/convivium in a Word file, Times New Roman 12p., line spacing 1.15, accompanied with a second Word file containing a brief CV and contact information. Articles should not exceed 15.000 words (including footnotes and bibli[1]ography), should include an abstract of no more than 200 words, and a list of five or six keywords. Both the abstract and the list of keywords are to be submitted in the language of the article, in Catalan, and in English. Reviews cannot exceed 2.000 words. In some rare cases, exceptions can be made.
  4. Words and letters in bold should be avoided. Use italics or « » (“ ”) to point out some specific words. Also, ‘ ’ can be employed to translate a concept.
  5. Authors must submit the final version of the article or the review according to the format of our journal. An example template is available on the website of the journal.
  6. All submitted works will be firstly «pre-admitted» or rejected by the editorial team within approximately one month. Those works that pass this first assessment will undergo a double-blind review by external experts, and the final admission will be decided within three months based on the result of this external assessment. At the end of the double review, the author will receive an e-mail notifying him/her whether the article has been accepted or not; if it has not been accepted, he/she will also receive a list of the reasons for exclusion.
  7. All articles and reviews are published in open access and under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives license, available at: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es . The authors retain all rights to the published work.

If you register as an author or reviewer or the administrators of a journal create your register account, the objective will be to organize the completion of the different functions associated with the journal to which you register. If you register as a reader, the objective will be to send you information about the journal to which you register.
