Tonos estrellados: una argumentación

In this work the tonal alignment in prenuclear and nuclear accents in Madrid Spanish discourses is analyzed. It is proposed a sequence integrated by the pretonic syllable, the accented syllable and the posttonic syllable and an interface between the phonetic and phonological component ruled by perceptual thresholds that allows a mental representation of tones. Results show the peak prominence within the accented syllable. It is suggested that the accent gestures are synchronized with the syllable. These findings are similar to those obtained elsewhere in Madrid Spanish laboratory corpora.
