La percepció de les vocals /e/ i /o/ tòniques del rus per part de catalanoparlants
Abstract
This paper describes the experiment that has been carried out at the University of Barcelona between 1991 and 1994 concerning Catalan speaker's perception of the Russian vowels [e] and [o]. The aim of this experiment was to find out if Catalan speakers' perceive the Russian vowels as closer to /e/ and /o/ or rather to /ɛ/ and /ɔ/. The results support the fact that these two vowels should be transcribed as "é" and "ó" in Catalan.
