Abstract

In recent decades feminisms changed the ideas of the roles of women in the Government, in the market and in whole society. However there is an issue that remains immutable: the sexual division of labor which assigns survival and care of child to women as their principal and individual responsibility. This article reflects on the transformation of social and equality policies in Argentina, and on how expectations regarding women place them in the paradox of being both the target of social policies as "poor mothers" and full citizens with rights.

Claudia C. Anzorena, CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Técnica) Argentina

Es doctora en Ciencias Sociales (UBA), Magister en Política y Gestión de la Educación (UN Luján), Especialista en género y políticas públicas (Priggep – Flacso) y Licenciada en Sociología (UN Cuyo). Actualmente se desempeña como investigadora adjunta del CONICET. Desarrolla su actividad en el INCIHUSA – CONICET, específicamente en el Grupo de Estudios de Género y Teoría Crítica. Sus temas de investigación giran en torno a las relaciones entre mujeres, Estado y ciudadanía. Actualmente indaga sobre las relaciones entre redistribución y reconocimiento en el campo de las políticas dirigidas hacia las mujeres en Argentina.
