Abstract

The goal of this article is to measure the translations, modifications and ambivalences of the relationship between power and subjectivity in two land-marks of the philosophical production of Michel Foucault: Discipline and punish (1975), and The birth of biopolitics (1978-79). In this way, we will try to extract the foucaultian procedure some clues to a current materialistic approach of this relation at a time of maximum social dissolution.
