In this paper, I will make a synthesis of the epistemological dimension of Boaventura de Sousa Santos work. Starting from the idea of Epistemic justice and injustice, I will reconstruct the methodological dimension of its critical platform, namely, the ecology of knowledges. I will try to establish the relation between epistemic injustice and colonialism and to argue the decolonial particularity of the practices included in the epistemologies of the South and the Subaltern cosmopolitanism.
