The Importance of the Recognition and Strengthening of the Artisan Acti-vity in Mexico as a Manifestation of the Human Right to Cultural Diversity

The article develops elements about the human right to cultural diversity. Particularly in one of its facets: The artisanal activity. It talks about working to reinforce the recognition and protection of this activity in the mexican context. The mexican artisan is usually socially and economically vulnerable. Situation which calls for changes of the public policies, in both the national and international environment. The main goal of these policies should be to place the artisanal activity as the manifestation of the human right to cultural diversity and as a basic element of the identity in our culture.
