APOLOGÍA DEL EMPRENDEDOR: ANÁLISIS CRÍTICO DEL DISCURSO SOBRE EL INTERÉS PROPIO
Keywords:
Entrepreneurship, Neo-Liberalism, Self-interest, Public interestAbstract
Last July the Spanish government passed the new law supporting entrepreneurship, which stays in line with the neo-liberal guidelines dominant in the European institutions. These policies pursue a double change which operates both at the ideological level and at the legal level. Neo-liberalism is gaining ground in the political-ideological battle against a social left which is unable to promote within the public opinion a counter-discourse able to neutralize the one in favour of self-interest. This discourse is put forward as the best option for a citizen to serve public interest. This paper aims to examine some of the implications of this law and its underlying ideology.
