Abstract

Based on the novels Insensatez, written by Horacio Castellanos Moya, and Dos Veces Junio, written by Martin Kohan, this article ponders the representation of an archive and a testimony in a narrative text. Through two different ways of using a file and an institutional document to make a political denunciation, these two novels question the writing style of the document, the use of the body of someone who serves an institutional function, and the tension between the archive and the testimony, in order to propose the link between what is unspeakable of horror, the fantasy and the historical truth.
