NARRATION, RADIANCE, AND DISCONTINUITY OF THE SENSES IN MAURICE BLANCHOT
Keywords:
story, criticism, death, discontinuity, experience, glowAbstract
This article postulates a reading of the stories of Maurice Blanchot from the conceptualization that they propose for the notion of disappearance —understood as the essence of literature. Thus, the absence of argument, meaning and representation give the stories a singular characteristic: that of orienting their realization towards the experience of death. Thus, discontinuity, through figures such as the house, the room, or the corridor that is reiterated as a metaphor for drift or as total absence of meaning, ends up being a way of approaching the critical dimension that these stories carry with them; but only on the condition of avoiding the very reduction that language can exert; that is to say, safeguarding their condition as stories that are impossible to read.
