Abstract

This article presents a comparative analysis of the autobiographical novels Marx and the Doll, by Maryam Madjidi, and Ru, by Kim Thúy, authors who went through the harsh experience of exile in French-speaking countries during their childhood: from Iran to France and from Vietnam to Canada, respectively. The objective is to trace a journey through these works of migrant literature to observe the narrative similarities and thematic parallels, the repetition of topics or images that specify the experience of exile, highlighting those elements that make up the particular imagological universe of deterritorialized literature.
