Abstract

In this article I address the performance of the LASTESIS collective

Un violador en tu camino

(2019) and interpret the transit between the invisible and the visible, referred to in the performance in the actions of not seeing and then seeing. Also, in dialogue with these references, I analyze the possible readings that can be established with the use of the blindfold that covers the eyes of the participants. In this journey, I seek to review how these elements of the performance suggest an agency based on counter-visual images and on the rupture with the focus of the traditional and hegemonic gaze raised and maintained by the current scopic regime.
