Abstract

This article incites reflection related to the constituent discourses of the canon and the imaginary reader, whose influence seem to determine the reading process by denying non-normative sexualities and reinforcing the hegemonic thought established in values such as heterosexuality, monogamy and monosexuality. In a genre such a poetry, which needs an active readership, the interpretation of texts from the point of view of sexuality presents datum which seem essential to pay attention to regarding the mechanisms that operate and determine the act of reading in an unconscious manner. Although Barthes had announced the death of the author, we detect biographical fingerprints pending analysis with the objective of making visible the plurality and diversity inherent to the poetic word.
