Liberalismo, democracia y catolicismo en Argentina. La reforma constitucional de 1921 y las identidades políticas. Santa Fe 1920-1923
Abstract
The present work rebuilds the Santa Fe´s Constitution reform process, developed between 1920 and 1923, and its impact over the political system and the public opinion. The level of social mobilization showed by the catholic and liberal militants in the streets of Rosario and Santa Fe; together with the high density of the conflicts, agreements and broken deals between the unstables parties in the core of the Constitutional Convention, transformed the situation into a strong modeling matrix, with great influence over the political identities. This article also tries to make an approximation to some of the modes in which the Politics filtered the identities of the different “popular sectors” and fed the social imaginaries that were critical against the liberal democracy.Downloads
