Abstract

In this theoretical and empirical exercise, we have applied the models of business management to a company in a historical context, across the diachronic relations that are giving each other in the time between the managerial decisions and the context s conditions . This “biography business” shows how the family and the networks of personal relations acted as the interwoven one that supported the traffi c of information, of resources, of persons, facilitating the early managerial insertion and its conversion in an interregional company that sold its products on a wide market. On the other hand, it shows the weaknesses of a family enterprise, centred on the figure of the founder, who exhibited a strong autocratic and paternalistic partiality, which brings problems for the later generations.
