Expansión y crisis de una empresa industrial argentina. Historia de la Fábrica de Vidrios y Opalinas Hurlingham, 1948-1994

Abstract

This paper studies the history of a fl at glass factory in Argentina; we focused in the problems that the company had from mid the decade of 1960 and the difficulties to draw for them successful. We emphasized the circumstances that culminated with the “estatización” of the company at the beginning of the Seventies, and, later, the expanded process of privatization will receive individual importance, which fi nally did not avoid its liquidation at the beginning of the decade of 1990. It particularly interests to us to emphasize so much the strategies of the different control groups like the institutional and macroeconomic factors that inhibited the recovery of the company.
