Rivalidades en la Junta de Real Hacienda de Quito ante la elaboración del quinquenio de 1727 a 1731
Abstract
After receiving from Quito the accounts of the period from 1718 to 1724, the Council of the Indies needed to ascertain the real state of the province’s treasury. To this end, it ordered the creation of a ‘Junta de Real Hacienda’, with the chief mission of preparing the accounts for the period between 1727 and 1731. This study analyzes the development of that fi ve-year period, and the personal relations between the members of the ‘Junta’. The internal differences between them, and their divergent accounting concepts led to the drawing up in 1732 of two of the three versions of those accounts known to us. The third version resulted from the revision carried out in 1739.Downloads
