On enslaved people and afro-descendants in Argentina: new perspectives of analysis
Abstract
With this dossier we intend to give an account of the process of renewal and consolidation of an interdisciplinary field of studies and reflection on Afrodescendence in Argentina. The foundation, at the beginning of 2010, of the Group of Afro-Latin American Studies (GEALA) - at the Institute of Argentine and American History "Dr. Emilio Ravignani "from the University of Buenos Aires - to which the authors belong and the author of the articles presented here, is part of this academic movement that seeks to generate new visions and interpretations on the subject, in a country that until now has been Considers and defines itself as "white-European".Downloads
