Abstract

The national project in Argentina, began to consolidate in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century through different strategies: economic, political and ideological. However, these practices of nationalization defined and designed by the argentine state, were not assimilated or received in the same way throughout. Focusing on symbolic practices, we will take as a study case the governance of Río Negro, to observe, from the local press, how argentinazing strategies were articulated in local areas of the Patagonian region. The purpose of this paper is emphasize, therefore, on the impact that the press, through their texts and practices, had in the ways of imagining the membership of the national comunity
