Associationism and politics in the local scale. The Civic Union Center Radical of Bella Vista during the postperonism (Tucumán, 1955-1958)
Keywords:
Political Parties, Local scale, Radicalism, Peronism.Abstract
This article analyzes the course of the Unión Cívica Radical Center of Bella Vista in the period between its foundation (1955) and the party’s return to power after the overthrow of Juan Perón (1958). Introduced in the sugar cane area of Tucumán, which was marked by the agroindustrial stamp and the hegemony of peronism, the Center offers a privileged point of view to account for the consequences of the coup d’état in the local dynamics of radicalism, their anchorage in the network of local associations and the responses that it tried out to attract the Peronist electorateDownloads
