This paper is about the occupational continuity in the Colima Valley during the Formative period, particularly in the moment between the Capacha and Ortices phases. The text focuses on cultural aspects, particularly in the settlement pattern, the social organization, architectural aspects and the mortuary ritual, besides the chronology. This is a comparative study between the ceramic materials of both phases, which will allow to prove that the formal characteristics of these ceramic styles come from the same social evolution, sharing more similarities than differences.Downloads
