This article shows the religious dynamics recreated by actors who inhabit the borderland shared by Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico. Through people’s religious practices and beliefs, parishioners build up territories creating a devotional religious geography shaped by highly organized churches (Presbyterian and La Luz del Mundo) on the one hand, and, on the other, by indo-Christian religiosities centered on the devotion to saints and virgins, and recreated by a series of processions, pilgrimages, rituals, celebrations and practices around common ceremonial centersDownloads
