Gender and rule: the rights of detained women
Abstract
El dato más evidente del que arranca todo discurso sobre la criminalidad femenina es el bajo número de delitos cometidos por mujeres y su “irrelevante” presencia en las cárceles. La población femenina detenida oscila en Italia entre el 4% y el 5% del total, dato que se ha venido manteniendo constante a lo largo del tiempo, ya desde los primeros decenios del siglo XIX, pese a haber acusado, como es obvio, grandísimos cambios tanto por lo que concierne al tipo de delitos cometidos como a los sujetos implicados.
