THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION OPERATIONS (OLP): BETWEEN THE ABSCENCES AND EXCESSES OF THE PENAL SYSTEM IN VENEZUELA
Abstract
The police operations as a policy of citizen security are be analysed, taking the People's Liberation Operations (OLP) as an object of study. The context that serves like a breeding ground is described, the rational ideological and discursive is revealed. The effectiveness in the decrease of the criminal violence is evaluated and the implications in human rights issues, as well as their features for the arbitrary exercise of power.
