Nuestras cárceles en Latinoamérica
Abstract
Latin American prisons have undergone various transformations in recent years. These transformations are based on the fact that the increase in incarceration rates has caused overcrowding in prisons to the point that it is the inmates themselves who take control and impose their order. It should be emphasized that the level of participation in said order and / or control varies depending on the place and that the North American model of maximum-security prison, expanded in Latin America, has not made the prison safer.
