Abstract

This article seeks to analyze criminal policy and criminal law concerning drugs from the images and manifest functions, to the real encapsulated ones. It describes the impact of criminal involvement in the drug issue in Brazil, which is expressed in the high number of victims and imprisoned in recent years. Finally, it stress the need for alternative penal policy.
