Abstract

This article analyzes extension actions on property of urban lands. The action in analysis concerns the agreement among Public Defense of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, through the Pro-rectory of Extension, Institute of Geosciences and Institute of Philosophy and Humanities. Integrate this program the areas of Cartographic Engineering, Geography, Social sciences, juridical Sciences, Architecture and Communication. The institutional objective is to reaffirm the public academical extension as articulate process through the teaching and the researching in function of the community's real demands, committed with the students' formation, with the qualification of teachers and technicians and with the social responsibility. More specifically, to promote local analyses related to environmental, anthropological and social issues, besides the demarcation of lots and their respective mapping for legalization of the urban lands, through a process of interdisciplinary construction. In this text it is prioritized, besides the lived experience, a reflection on the practices, with base in the interdisciplinary perspectives, looking for to evaluate the conflict points linked to the experience. This evaluation is justified, considering that this project is socially relevant, because it treats about the urban administration in areas, for instance, of irregular occupation in what refers to the ownership of the earth. These subjects are associated, in their majority, to deterioration problems and/or environmental risks.
