The tourism and the production of space in the Maranhão State, Brazil

The tourism is one of the activites which more increase in the world. That premise had served for the Brazil and theirs unites of the federation to realize planes and projects aiming to augment that activity with basis in one progressive discourse, that contribute for deflections of analysis. Is in this context that if frame the Integral Development Plan of Tourism of Maranhão State, Brazil, that is a territorial politic which since 2000 is presented as the “axle of the development”; this discourse, however, not if sustain and consequently the comprehension of the tourism duty to emphatic the process of production of space.
