Daily mobility studies in Mexico

Abstract

Daily mobility in Mexico is of great interest for the analysis of various subjects, from transport and traffic to urban structure, although other topics have been considered. This paper presents a critical review of different statistical sources and studies carried out in Mexico in relation to daily mobility analysis. Mexico City metropolitan area arise as the most studied geographical region, although the increasing reproduction in other regions (essentially metropolitan areas) of problems related to a growing population and mobility has derived in its examination in other spaces.
