Abstract

The word “culture” comes from the Latin word “cultus” (crop), and agriculture is a traditional activity along the History of civilizations. This could support its consideration as cultural heritage.. However, research on Agriculture as heritage is not usual. The aim of this paper is to bridge that gap by analysing the relationship between heritage and agriculture, its legal and institutional reflection and the results of the application of these norms. This research considers different institutional points of view (culture and heritage, agriculture, spatial planning, landscape policies…) and scales (international, European, and Spanish, with a special focus on the region of Andalusia).
