Abstract

The process of globalization has influenced in the school changes in the education of the Geography and of the History. The manuals of school geography change his aims: of a patriotic indoctrination to a taxonomic description. The territories, such as Latin America or the European Union, are cultural references of an economic process, which is presented uncritically. The study of more than 26 manuals of Geography and History has allowed us to show the similarities in a school model holds for OECD countries at the beginning of the third millennium.
