Abstract

In Brazil, the construction of the State is directly related to the production of their territory. The appropriation of what is conventionally called “territorial funds” is an obsession in the formation of this post-colonial Nation-state. In this paper we focused the analysis on the meanders of a “hinterland imagery” trajectory, constitutive part of this process. The analysis focus on a magazine called Interior, official publication edited between 1974 and 1989 by the government of the military regimen.
